LODGES Holiday apartments in a class of their own For all those not too keen on hotels these modern, stylish holiday apartments are more than just an alternative. The new Aradira holiday site in Kappl nestles up to the mountain in a stepped arrangement. The four buildings each contain a holiday apartment in a class of its own. The two-storey accommodation units consist of three bedrooms with bathroom en suite, a sitting room and an open kitchen. The Aradira is altogether open, the room-high windows attracting the gaze outwards across the mountain world of the famous Silvretta. Most of the Pezid apartments feature a chill lounge, a glazed, higher-level room within a room that provides a view of the mountain world. In some of the apartments the double bed is stored beneath the chill lounge reclining area. It can then be pulled out in the evening and pushed back in the morning. Further examples of unusual and pleasing holiday home architecture are the Arche and the Villa Rasilla in Serfaus, the Rifugio in Galtür and the CHI-Q in the Kaunertal.
